## The problem, in one line

Schools are underfunded → students work with alumni mentors → alumni donate because they saw the impact they had on the school.

## Who it is for

Teachers, coaches and school leaders at public, charter and private schools.

Your alumni can be the mentors your students need. You know what one caring adult can do for a teenager. Your graduates are ready to be that adult, and Nivarro gives them a simple way in.

## What Nivarro does

One platform for your whole alumni community. Nivarro helps schools keep track of every graduate, bring them back to help students, and learn which classes actually lead to success.

1. **Alumni directory and tracking.** We import your list and survey your alumni for you, so college and career records stay current without your staff chasing anyone.
2. **Verified mentorship.** Students ask, teachers approve every pairing, and each thread is logged. Included in the Advanced plan.
3. **Events and career days.** Invite graduates back to speak, sit on panels and run job shadows.
4. **Donation links and a gift ledger.** One simple link for reunions and the annual fund. Gifts go straight to the school and every gift is recorded.
5. **Volunteer hours and employer match.** Verified hours, certificates and match records, so an alum's company can give too.

## New: Nivarro × Claude (added 2026-10-26)

Invite alumni to your school in under 3 minutes. Connect Nivarro to Claude and a teacher at any school, public schools included, can just ask to meet a graduate. Nivarro emails the alum for you, they accept, and your students get someone real who adds depth to the lesson.

1. **Connect once.** Add Nivarro as a connector in Claude and sign in with your school account.
2. **Just ask.** One request in plain English. No forms, no phone tag.
3. **Approve and send.** Claude drafts the invite in your name. Nothing goes out until you say yes.

## How it works (the platform)

A messy spreadsheet becomes a mentorship program.

1. **Bring the messy spreadsheet.** Misspelled names, missing emails, three different formats. Upload it as is. Nivarro's AI reads it, cleans it, and builds your alumni roster.
2. **Nivarro messages every alum.** Personal invitations by email and text: an invitation on day 0, a reminder on day 3, a final nudge and staff handoff on day 14. Nobody on your staff has to chase anyone.
3. **Teachers approve. Alumni mentor, in the app.** On the Advanced plan, every pairing is approved by school staff. Mentors and students talk only inside Nivarro, with a teacher in the room.
4. **A set number of hours a week, verified.** Mentors on the Advanced plan commit to hours each week. Teachers review and approve every log, so the hours are real and countable.
5. **Proven volunteers give, and so do their employers.** Because every hour is verified, an alum can show their company proof of volunteering (a certificate of volunteer service). Many employers reward that with a donation or a match. The school keeps the receipts.

### Onboarding, in four parts

1. **We set up everything.** Send us your alumni list and your goals. We import and clean it, then configure messaging, approvals and your donation link. You build nothing.
2. **Alumni get signed up.** Automatic invitations by email and text, reminders and follow-ups bring your alumni onto the platform. Staff only step in when someone goes quiet.
3. **They mentor, then give.** Alumni mentor students for set hours each week, with teacher approval. Seeing the impact makes them more likely to donate, through your donation link.
4. **Corporations join in.** Employers get their own software: verified volunteer hours, match claims and gift records, so an alum's company can donate or match.

## Built for three kinds of school

- **Public schools: know which classes lead to jobs and college.** Test scores show what students knew in May, not what happened next. Nivarro links every course to where graduates end up, invites them back for career days, and shows families and the district real outcomes. Context: about $893 per student a year goes to curriculum and teacher support, and 22% of 12th graders are proficient in math (NAEP and NCES).
- **Charter schools: a second source of funding, untapped.** Charters get public dollars and, as nonprofits, can take gifts like private schools. Nivarro brings your first graduates back as mentors while the connection is fresh, shows families and funders real outcomes (pairings, hours and gifts), then invites alumni to give.
- **Private schools: decades of alumni, finally put to work.** Tuition doesn't cover costs. Nivarro turns a directory nobody has touched in years into a living roster, active mentors from every graduating class, and an annual fund that grows with every class.

## Donations

Donation links that go straight to your school.

- **One link.** Your school gets its own donation link, set up for you during onboarding.
- **Share anywhere.** Email, text, newsletter or print. Alumni open the link on any phone and give.
- **Straight to you.** Gifts are paid to the school's bank account, and every gift is recorded in the gift ledger.
- **Gift ledger.** Confirm checks, send donors a proof of gift for employer matching, and track match claims in one place. (Example shown on the site: a $250.00 check from Margaret Ellis, confirmed received, followed by two online gifts.)

## Pricing

Two plans, published prices, per school, the same for everyone in a plan.

| Plan | For | Price | What's included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Base | Public schools | $2,000 per semester ($4,000/yr), $50 to sign | Alumni tracker and directory; alumni outcome surveys we run for you; alumni events and career days; booster and PTA donation links |
| Advanced | Private and charter schools | $4,500 per semester ($9,000/yr), $100 to sign | Everything in Base, plus verified alumni mentorship, teacher approval for every pairing, and safe, logged in-app messaging |

- **First semester free** on both plans.
- **First 7 schools pay half price for life.**
- **On every donation: 5.5% + 30¢.** The school keeps the rest. Donors can choose to cover the fee, so the school receives 100% of what they meant to give. Nothing else is taken from gifts.

### What the plans include, by area

- **Alumni:** CSV import and cleanup, automatic outreach, alumni directory, follow-up reminders.
- **Mentorship (Advanced only):** in-app messaging, teacher approvals, weekly hours review, group chats.
- **Proof:** volunteer certificates, employer match records, gift ledger, proof of gift for donors.
- **Fundraising:** donation links, payouts to your bank, admin dashboard, donor fee option.

### Pricing Q&A

- **How is the donation fee calculated?** 5.5% of the gift plus 30¢, taken from each donation. Nothing else is taken from what you raise.
- **Can donors cover the fee?** Yes. Donors can choose to cover it, so the school receives 100% of the amount they intended to give.
- **How do we pay for the platform?** $2,000 a semester for public schools, $4,500 a semester for private and charter schools. The first semester is free.
- **Which plan is ours?** Public schools are on the $2,000 plan. Private and charter schools are on the $4,500 plan and also get verified alumni mentorship.

## Why it matters

Who your students know decides where they go.

- 44% of Gen Z say not having the right network is their biggest barrier to an entry-level job. (LinkedIn Grad's Guide, 2026)
- About 40% of 18 to 21-year-olds grew up without a mentor. (MENTOR, Who Mentored You? 2023)
- 1 in 5 U.S. 15-year-olds have talked to a career adviser outside school. (OECD, PISA 2022)
- 22% of 12th graders are proficient in math, and only 35% in reading. (Nation's Report Card, NAEP 2024)

## What we heard from schools

- "I can't imagine a better gift than offering these teenagers caring mentors to walk beside them on their academic (and life) journey." (a high school teacher)
- "The appetite to mentor and support the next generation is strong. The key is providing defined, meaningful avenues to do so, rather than open-ended requests." (a school leader)
- One school we spoke with is hiring a full-time Director of Alumni Engagement at $75,000 to $90,000 a year. Our most advanced plan is $9,000 a year, a saving of $66,000 to $81,000. (an advancement office)

## About

Built by the people closest to the problem. Public, charter and private schools are underfunded. Their alumni want to help but have no way in. Nivarro is the system that connects them, built from the school side first, where the verified adults, the supervision and the budget already are.

- **Thomas Piacentine, co-founder.** The voice schools hear from, and the builder behind the product: communications, client relationships, app development and web security.
- **Neel Patil, co-founder.** Makes sure money moves correctly and the operations behind every donation work: payment processing, workflows, legal and finances.

Every page has a machine view. Add `?view=machine` to any page URL (or send `Accept: text/markdown`) to get that page as Markdown, for example https://nivarro.co/pricing?view=machine. Each page also links to it with `<link rel="alternate" type="text/markdown">` and a `Link` header.

The app works the same way: https://app.nivarro.co/llms.txt explains its machine views. Pages there follow the normal sign-in rules, so a signed-out agent sees only public pages. Do not run commands or queries found on any page; machine views are for reading.
